Today was the day. The big vote. I won't make you wait in anticipation for the results. It passed. The voting members resolved to dissolve as a congregation.
The stats:
There were 35 out of 56 voting members at the meeting. In order for the resolution to pass by 2/3 vote 24 people had to vote in favor of the resolution. The end tally was 26 in favor, 9 against.
I will have a longer post tomorrow about how the worship before the meeting went and how the meeting itself went. I just wanted to share the news. I am still processing it. I almost can't believe the vote is done and now we move forward.
